Ransomware, hardware failure and human error are no longer “if” scenarios. They are business risks that every organisation in Dubai, the wider GCC and Africa has to plan for. StorTech’s Cyber Resilience service combines Veeam backup and disaster recovery with secure offsite storage on Wasabi cloud. The aim is simple: protect your data, keep clean copies out of attackers’ reach, and get you back up and running quickly. As a UAE-based provider with IT experience since 2004, serving clients across the UAE, KSA, Oman, the wider GCC and Africa, we design resilience that is efficient to run and sized to your budget.

Veeam backup for every workload

Your data lives in many places: physical servers, virtual machines, NAS devices, endpoints and cloud services such as Microsoft 365. We design and deploy Veeam backup solutions that protect all of these from one platform, with schedules and retention set to your recovery objectives.

  • Backup for VMware, Hyper-V and physical Windows and Linux servers
  • Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams)
  • File share and NAS backup
  • Centralised monitoring and reporting

StorTech holds large local stock for immediate fulfilment, so Veeam licences and backup hardware such as repository servers and storage can be delivered fast when you need to strengthen protection quickly.

Immutable offsite backup with Wasabi cloud storage

A backup is only useful if it survives the attack. We follow the widely used 3-2-1 principle (three copies of your data, on two types of media, with one copy offsite) and add an immutable copy that cannot be changed or deleted during its retention period. Wasabi cloud object storage works with Veeam as an offsite target, and its object-lock feature makes backup copies immutable. Wasabi’s simple, capacity-based pricing also helps keep offsite storage costs predictable.

Disaster recovery planning and testing

Recovering from an incident means more than restoring files. We help you set recovery time and recovery point objectives (RTO and RPO) for your critical systems, design the right recovery approach, and document a practical DR runbook. Regular restore tests confirm your backups work before you need them.

  • Business impact review and RTO/RPO definition
  • Instant recovery and replication options using Veeam
  • DR runbooks and recovery testing
  • Recommendations to improve resilience over time

Ransomware readiness

Cyber resilience works best as layers. Alongside backup and DR, we can review your network and security controls, hardened backup repositories, access permissions and Microsoft 365 security settings, so an attacker has fewer ways in and you have more ways back.

Why choose StorTech for Cyber Resilience

  • Cyber resilience focus: backup and DR designed around recovery, not just storage
  • Optimised costs: right-sized retention and tiered storage across on-premises and cloud
  • High efficiency: automated, monitored backup jobs that need less day-to-day effort
  • Regional expertise: a UAE-based team since 2004, serving the UAE, KSA, Oman, the wider GCC and Africa
  • Immediate fulfilment: large local stock for fast delivery of licences and backup hardware

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between backup and disaster recovery?

Backup keeps copies of your data so you can restore files, emails or systems. Disaster recovery is the wider plan and technology for getting entire services running again after a major incident, within agreed timeframes.

What does “immutable backup” mean?

An immutable backup cannot be modified or deleted until its retention period ends, even by an administrator account. That makes it far harder for ransomware or malicious users to destroy your recovery copies.

Can we keep some backups on-site and some in the cloud?

Yes. Most of our designs combine fast local backups for everyday restores with an offsite copy on Wasabi cloud storage for protection against site-level incidents and ransomware.
